Azerbaijan Mugam Night was held in Doha, capital city of Qatar
The event was organized under the patronage of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the State of Qatar in cooperation with Katara Cultural Village of Qatar at the Drama Theatre of Katara. The event was attended by cultural and art figures of Qatar, local media, representatives of the diplomatic corpus and Azerbaijani Diaspora members.
At the outset of the event, representative of Azerbaijani Embassy welcomed the audience and a short film about Azerbaijani mugam and the attention paid to the development of mugam in Azerbaijan was displayed.
At the night, Azerbaijani outstanding mugam singer and People's Artist Melekkhanim Eyubova, musicians People's Artist Muslumov Mohlat, Aliyev Elnur, Sharifov Ogtay and Ahmadov Ahmad gave a concert titled "Azerbaijan Mugam Night".
During the concert, Azerbaijan mugam and folk songs were presented to the audience.
Mugams performed at the concert aroused great interest among the audience.
The Mugam Night was arranged on the occasion of 93rd birthday anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Republic Day of Azerbaijan.
